New York's Next Funniest Lawyer

NEW YORK July 15, 2004 -- THE WORLD FAMOUS LAUGH FACTORY ASKS:
Think You're Funny? Prove it!

Break out your best defenses, cross-examine yourself and prepare a killer closing! That's right! The World Famous Laugh Factory is out to prove that all lawyers are not uptight and square in its search for New York's funniest lawyer. No need for jury consultations, discoveries or appeals; the lectern is now on stage and the court is Time Square! The date is July 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. This is one of a series of special nights in the clubs' pre-Grand Opening preview season.

New York's legal beagles are invited to take center stage before a boisterous grand jury with three minutes of their best material. Any evidence getting laughs is presumed exculpatory; and - best of all - judgment will be rendered by hoots and howls – the only "law" in comedy. The winner will be crowned the East Coast Funniest Lawyer and eventually battle the West Coast winner in a contest held at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. The winner will be crowned the LEGAL KING OF LAUGHTER.

Founded in Hollywood 25 years ago, the Laugh Factory has established itself as the benchmark comedy venue in the United States, where stars such as Jim Carrey, Dave Chappelle, Rodney Dangerfield, George Lopez, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Paul Rodriguez, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Tucker, Damon Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans all call home.
